Peacekeeper or rabble rouser?

This is where my life meets reflection, where everyday moments turn into something meaningful.

Dear reader, as you begin this journey with me, I want to share the story that sparked it all—the why behind the words, and my heart behind the voice.

One lazy afternoon, I sat on my couch, staring into space, wondering, “What’s next for me?” I wasn’t searching for grand answers, but a meaningful direction. And just then, an email popped up in my inbox. It was loud, almost screaming at me, and it struck something within. It promised a path that felt familiar and brand new all at once. A way to use what I’ve lived through—to support others navigating their chaos. A chance to bring my love for storytelling to spaces that feel dull and disconnected.

Now, I’m usually cautious, overthinking, weighing pros and cons- a typical Libran! But sometimes, something inside me speaks louder than logic. This time, it practically yelled, “Do it. This is yours. Jump.” And I listened. Not because I had it all figured out, but because my gut wouldn’t let me ignore it.

I didn’t leap to become someone new. I took it to return to myself. Not for the person the world saw, but the deeper “why” of me. Why am I here? What do I truly bring to the table, and what will I leave behind?

As I reflected, I realized that most of my life, I’ve been the peacekeeper. The safe space. The one who held others when they were falling apart. I’ve balanced chaos with calm, grief with love. But I’ve also been the rebel—chasing wild dreams, falling for the wrong people, making mistakes I now wear like badges of growth.

And here’s a memory that comes up now and then:

Once, in a deeply emotional conversation with someone close, I was asked: “You always knew what to say to calm my storm. How did you learn that?” I didn’t know how to explain that it came from walking through storms of my own, watching the people I loved suffer, and wanting nothing more than to ease their pain, even if just for a moment. That was my training ground.

I’ve also learned that being gentle doesn’t mean being weak. And that true strength sometimes hides in dim corners, waiting for you to see it. Today, I can say with honesty, I’m both. I’m the healing soul and the bold explorer. The calm presence and the daring voice. And this is what I bring to my stories.

If you journey with me, you’ll find stories that spark something in you—stories that help you start your day with intention, or end it with a smile. Some may make you laugh. Some might sting in a way that heals, and I promise they will all come with love and honesty, and who knows, you might discover new layers of yourself reflected in each tale.

As Rumi said,
“Don’t get lost in your pain, know that one day your pain will become your cure.”

From my heart to yours.
